Waterfalls: Bambarakanda is taller than the famous Diyaluma falls which is only 220 metres but thought to be the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka.

National Parks: There are many National Parks you can visit in Sri Lanka. Yala is the largest national park. The National Parks of Sri Lanka are managed by the department of Wildlife and Conservation.

Beaches: Sri Lanka is a tropical island found in the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal. The country is endowed with over a thousand miles of beautiful golden beaches that are fringed with coconut palms making it the ideal destination for a beach holiday.

Seashells: Blessed with an immense wealth of natural resources, Sri Lanka is a resplendent island surrounded by the Indian Ocean where a variety of seashells/marine mollusks are found. A number of seashells belonging to Cypraeacea, Conacea, Volutacea, Muricacea, Strombacea, Buccinacea, Tonnacea and other bivalve varieties, can be seen lying on the ocean floor around the island.

Orchids: The Orchidaceae or Orchid family has over 25,000 species under 880 genera. The family along with the sunflower family (Asteraceae) forms the two largest flowering plant families currently identified.

Rivers & Lakes: The Rivers & Lakes of Sri Lanka originate in the central highlands. From there they descend to the plains and empty into the sea. The rivers are typically unnavigable in their higher reaches, where they flow swiftly and turbulently through highly eroded passages to the plains below.

Mountains & Peaks: Mountains & Peaks in Sri Lanka. In the central and southern parts of Sri Lanka there are several Mountains and Peaks that are highly ecological and rich in bio diversity.
